The Scottish Football Partnership Trust Launches New Community Partnership with Govies Coffee Club to Support Grassroots Football

The Scottish Football Partnership Trust is delighted to announce a new community partnership with Govies Coffee Club, a popular local coffee shop located near Hampden Park.

Through this initiative, customers at Govies Coffee Club will now have the option to add a 25p donation to their coffee purchase, with all proceeds going directly to the Trust to help fund grassroots football programmes and community initiatives across Scotland.

Every donation will go a long way toward helping the Trust continue its work in supporting football at every level of the Scottish game, from improving local facilities and club infrastructure to increasing opportunities for participation and inclusion.

This partnership allows fans, residents and visitors the chance to contribute to the future of Scottish football with their daily coffee, making community support part of everyday life.

The Scottish Football Partnership CEO Sandy Hodge said: “We’re thrilled to have Govies Coffee Club on board as a local partner. Grassroots football relies on the collective support of communities, and this initiative captures that perfectly. Every 25p donation helps us provide better facilities, more inclusive programmes and lasting benefits for players and clubs across the country.”

Situated just a short walk from Scotland’s national stadium, Govies Coffee Club has long been a gathering spot for football fans and locals alike. The Trust sees this partnership as an ideal opportunity to connect with supporters and raise awareness of its work at the heart of Scottish football.

Govies Coffee Club Owner Jon-Paul McGovern said: “I started my football journey at Hillwood Football Club, a club that the Trust has gone on to support, so this partnership means a lot to me. Working with The Scottish Football Partnership Trust is a great way for us to support the game at the grassroots level and help inspire the next generation of players.”

The partnership between The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and Govies Coffee Club is a community-focused initiative that will directly support the development of grassroots football across Scotland. The funds raised will help the Trust continue its work improving facilities and creating opportunities for people to take part in the game at every level.
