The Scottish Football Partnership has made an award to Aberdeen F.C. to assist with the cost of upgrading the floodlighting system at Pittodrie Stadium. The newly updated system brings with it the required lux levels for the club to compete in both domestic and UEFA Club Competitions in the years ahead.
The club’s Vice-Chairman, George Yule (pictured above) said “The continued support to clubs – at all levels in the game – by the Scottish Football Partnership has been invaluable and in many cases is making the difference between retention of the status quo and much-needed improvements taking place across the country. In the case of Aberdeen F.C. we recently had an equipment upgrade initiative that was badly-needed but which was borderline unaffordable, so the contribution by the SFP was hugely beneficial to our club in allowing this project to be progressed. Our previous experiences with the SFP have been positive inasmuch that they are very approachable, pragmatic and have an awareness and clear understanding of the challenges facing many clubs in Scotland.”
