On receiving the award, Sandy Thomson from the club commented “We are extremely grateful to The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and The Clydesdale Bank for their award which has allowed us to purchase new footballs, bibs, cones, and portable goals. The award has enabled the Club to form a new team of boys aged 5 years who will benefit greatly from being able to start at an early stage initially using the equipment indoors over the winter months enabling them to be ready in the spring to take part and enjoy Fun Four football. Not only that, it has also allowed the Club to start a soccer school for Primary 2 and Primary 3 boys and girls with 9 boys and 9 girls attending the first session. These kinds of awards help new teams hit the ground running without having to worry about finance. Keep up the good work SFPT and the Clydesdale Bank, it is greatly appreciated!”.
