Lossiemouth F.C. Youth Development were delighted to receive funding of £500 from the SFP Trust’s Club Development Grant scheme which they utilised to set-up a new Under-13 team. The grant helped to purchase new strips and footballs for these young players who are pictured here. The initiative was developed to assist grassroots clubs in three specific areas – to increase participation by adding a new team to a club’s existing membership; to improve, enhance and sustain existing team activity through the purchase of new training equipment and/or funding First Aid training for coaches or thirdly to support Coach Education.
Lossiemouth F.C. Youth Development from The Scottish F.A. North region offers football to local youngsters and currently has a membership of over 70 boys and 9 registered coaches, playing at under-13, under-17 and under-20 level. On receiving the award, Steve Williams, Head of Youth Development commented “This Club Development Grant has allowed Lossiemouth F.C. Youth Development to expand our player base and coaching set-up to include another 25 footballers at the Under-13 age group and an additional three coaches. We would like to thank The SFP Trust in partnership with The Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust and Clydesdale Bank for this award.”
