The SFP Trust was delighted to award funding of £500 from their Club Development Grant scheme to The Dally Football Club from the Scottish F.A. West Region. The initiative was developed to assist grassroots clubs in three specific areas – to increase participation by adding a new team to a club’s existing membership; to improve, enhance and sustain existing team activity through the purchase of new training equipment and/or funding First Aid training for coaches or thirdly to support Coach Education.
The Dally F.C. utilised their grant to purchase new football strips for their 2007s boys’ team as well as additional training equipment which could be used by the whole club. Not only that, but part of the funding was used to pay for the 2009/10 coaches to complete their 1.1 SYFA courses. William McLaren from the club commented “We would firstly like to thank The SFP Trust in partnership with The Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust and Clydesdale Bank for their support. This award has been amazing and has helped us in so many ways. It’s been a massive support to help us continue our journey to encourage more boys and girls from the local area to play football.”
