The Scottish Football Partnership was delighted to be able to assist Albion Rovers F.C. with a recent Facility Award to help the club upgrade part of the pitch drainage system at Cliftonhill as well as providing funding to replace the goalposts.
Club Secretary, Colin Woodward commented on the award by saying “Albion Rovers FC would like to record our thanks to The Scottish Football Partnership who for the third occasion in 5 years co-funded improvements to our stadium. This season we replaced the traditional goalposts with a high spec contemporary model and did much needed work to improve the drainage on the pitch which will reduce the threat to games when there is heavy rainfall. In recent years the SFP has also financially supported improvements to the floodlighting and heating system at our stadium. Thanks to Stuart McCaffrey, Chief Operating Officer of the SFP, for his help and guidance throughout the application process.”
