The Scottish Football Partnership recently granted a Facilities Strategy Award to Airdrieonians F.C. to assist with an upgrade to the floodlighting system at the Penny Cars Stadium. Facility awards are granted to support clubs meet the requirements of Scottish FA National Club Licensing by funding infrastructure improvements.
Scott Hetherington, Director at the club commented “Everyone at Airdrieonians Football Club are extremely grateful for the financial assistance that The Scottish Football Partnership has been able to provide towards the new floodlighting system recently installed at the Penny Cars Stadium.”
“All football players, from the first team to the kids at the Community Club, will benefit from the new system. The matchday experience for spectators will also be greatly enhanced and the club have already started to notice savings on the electricity bills!”
