The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and The Crerar Hotels Trust have teamed up to support the provision of new goalposts for seven grassroots community football clubs in the North of Scotland.
One of the clubs selected to receive this equipment was Strathspey Thistle F.C. Youth Development based in Granton-on-Spey. The club play in the Highland Football League Youth Development programme and currently have over 60 players across three different age groups. The club is committed to promoting football to the youngsters of Strathspey and Badenoch area.
Chris Race from the club had this to say about the award “The fun four goals that have been awarded to the club will be put to good use throughout our training sessions and all the kids will benefit from their use. On behalf of all our young players, I would like to extend my personal thanks to both the SFP Trust and Crerar Hotels for their support – it’s much appreciated.”
