The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

Fun Fours format of the game
The award given to Auchinleck Talbot has allowed the club to set up two brand new teams at age groups 2009 and 2010. There are currently 27 kids, both girls and boys, attending the sessions and really enjoying it. Kenny Blackmore from the club said “All this wouldn’t have been possible without the award from the SFP Trust. The money has been used to buy various equipment for both football and safety to allow the kids to express themselves, make new friends, learn new skills and have fun. A BIG thank you from the new recruits at Auchinleck Talbot!”
