The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

Ferry Athletic F.C. were delighted to receive a Growing the Game award from the SFP Trust in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, which enabled the club to set-up a new 2011 boys section. The club, which was established 19 years ago, started off with just three teams but now have 12 teams for players ranging from 6 to 19 years. Craig Feret from the club passed on the thanks of the young players for the award which has enabled them to purchase kit and equipment to assist in their training sessions and playing matches as a newly established team.
