The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

Glenburn Miners Welfare F.C. based in Prestwick were delighted to receive funding from the SFP Trust’s Growing the Game initiative to allow them to set up a new 2011 boys section. The award has helped the club purchase some new kit and as you can see from the above photograph, the young players all look fantastic in their new strips. Ricky Bicker from the club passed on his thanks and appreciation for the award to both the SFP Trust and The Clydesdale Bank. We wish the boys every success as they play their 4 -v- 4 fixtures!
