NK Utd from the Maryhill area of Glasgow, who are part of the North Glasgow Football Development Group, was recently awarded funding from the Growing the Game Initiative and Nicola Hay from the club advised that the award has helped the club to buy all the equipment needed to host proper football sessions. The young girls of primary school age have particularly loved the the pink bibs and pink balls! The award has also helped the club increase participation numbers and recently the under-9 team took part in a tournament which they thoroughly enjoyed and both age groups will participate in friendly matches which have been arranged over the coming weeks.
