Stonehaven Youth F.C. Girls Under-7s were able to purchase four new sets of portable goals and various training equipment with the funding received from the Growing the Game Initiative in conjunction with The Clydesdale Bank. The new team is a girls’ development age group playing in the SWF North Region football festivals and the award has been gratefully received. Tony Holman from the club said “These items will no doubt help the girls develop their skills. The goals were a great addition as we train on a very new all-weather pitch and the fixed goals that are there are slightly too big for the younger girls. All the girls are looking forward to a great start to their footballing careers, thanks again to the Growing the Game Initiative.” The above photograph shows some of the players with their new equipment. We we wish them every success in their football festivals.
