Young promising footballers will be able to further develop their shooting skills at Kilwinning Community Sports Club thanks to support from The Scottish Football Partnership Trust.
The £5,000 grant contributed to new sets of small sided 5-a-side and 7-a-side goals as well as new style, easy lift portable 11-a-side goals with full UEFA back supports to replicate the feeling of a big match day. The new goals will be used for small sided games on various grass and synthetic pitches and UEFA style goals will be located on the club’s quality Show Pitches.
Kilwinning Community Sports Club provides quality facilities for teams from the youngest, playing 4 and 5-a-side fun football, youth development matches, adult recreational games through to the over 50’s still trying to hold on to their youth. The club also has a strong girls/ladies football section and regularly hosts youth training and matches for both The Scottish FA and two local SPFL Youth Academy squads.
Speaking about the new goals, Club Chairman Jim McCubbin said “Another chapter in the development of a community run sports facility that continues to provide quality sports facilities for their local community. The club are forever grateful to The Scottish Football Partnership Trust for their continued support”
