The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

Huntly F.C. Youth Development who play development 7-v-7 fixtures in The Aberdeen and District Juvenile Football Association were delighted to receive their recent award from the SFP Trust. Lorna Stephen, the club’s Match Secretary said “The award was greatly appreciated by our team as it allowed the Club to register with both the SYFA and ADJFA and covered the cost of insurance for this season. We were also able to purchase new size four training and match footballs and a first aid kit and hope to shortly order some new goal posts for use on match days. We would like to thank both The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and The Clydesdale Bank for their support which helps ours and many other clubs develop grassroots teams in Scotland.”
