The Scottish Football Partnership Trust has made an award of two sets of fun four goalposts to Edinburgh South F.C. to assist with the further development of their soccer school.
Sean Barr, coach from Edinburgh South said;
“In a short period of just over a year, our soccer school has grown from 20 kids to over 100 youngsters who will reap the benefits of having these new goalposts. Previously, we had to use poles as goalposts but having this equipment will allow the soccer school to continue to grow and attract new members.
We try to keep weekly subscriptions at £2.00 so that Saturday mornings are accessible for all kids. However, this means that our funds are somewhat limited and we sometimes struggle to obtain the correct equipment to meet our needs during a burst in attendance figures.
The support we have received from the Scottish Football Partnership Trust has been fantastic and indeed within weeks of our request, we were the proud recipients of two sets of goalposts.
We would like to sincerely thank the SFP Trust for their help and support in furthering the development needs of the children.”
