Last year, The SFP Trust and The Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust (KFCT) set-up a new innovative Club IT and Sustainability fund to support Quality-Mark accredited community clubs who were interested in using technology to aid their growth and development.
Grants of £500 have been awarded to part-fund the start-up costs of web-based club management systems which are designed to enable real financial, resourcing and administrative benefits, addressing many of the challenges club volunteers face on a day to day basis.
Thistle Youth F.C. who are based in Newburgh, Aberdeenshire were the latest club to receive an award for ‘My Club Hub’ which is the club management system they have chosen to enhance their ongoing growth, development, sustainability, communication and governance strategies. Kirsty MacRae from the club said “This award allows Thistle Youth FC to roll out the My Club Hub digital platform across our 16 age groups. This will streamline our efforts and significantly reduce volunteer hours spent doing paperwork and in turn free us up to get out on the pitch more! Our club has grown from 40 members to 300+ over the past 5 years and as such our systems need to grow with it. We are very grateful to The Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust and The Scottish Football Partnership Trust for awarding this grant and setting us off on bringing the club up to speed.”
