Our 2022 Club Development initiative, supported by our long-standing partner, The Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust (KFCT) was launched at the beginning of this year and awards grants of £500 to 60 Scottish FA Quality Mark Clubs. The SFP Trust is committed to supporting and promoting inclusive football participation at grassroots level throughout Scotland and this initiative aims to invest in the development and growth of these clubs with a focus on increasing and enhancing participation opportunities for players and the continued development of volunteers.
North West Skye F.C. from the SFA North region recently received funding from this scheme to help purchase new training equipment for all their squads. Paul Rees from the club commented “The Club Development funding will allow North West Skye as a youth football club to extend and improve the training experience we offer to our five youth squads and the nearly 100 youngsters who train with us three times weekly – and for all of them to enjoy their sessions with us all the more. Additionally, it will allow us to better prepare our senior U16/U18s squad to play at the higher level of youth football we aspire for them to compete at. We are extremely grateful to the SFP Trust and the Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust for investing in our club.”
