The Scottish Football Partnership was delighted to assist Ayr United F.C. in their task to replace the existing and aged fire escape stairs at the East and West areas of the Main Stand at Somerset Park. The club’s emergency exit stairs had reached the end of their useful life and in order to ensure ongoing spectator safety and to achieve a ground Safety Certificate as part of their Club Licensing requirements, the stairs required to be fully replaced. Lewis Grant, Director at the club stated “We really appreciate the funding support provided by the SFP which has allowed us to implement critical ground improvements and to satisfy the terms of our Safety Certificate.”
