Alloa Saints F.C. recently received funding from The Scottish Football Partnership Trust to help with the purchase of new aluminium portable goalposts. This fantastic grassroots club currently work in partnership with Clackmannanshire County Cricket Club to make use of the superb facilities at the Arns Cricket ground in Cambus Road, Alloa. The club will use the surface for training and playing matches and this new equipment will help provide better training facilities and allow the coaches to work with all their players to help develop skills and teamwork. From August, the club will have two teams playing 9-a-side and four teams playing 7-a-side at the ground and the new goals will be in place for all these games and as well as at their annual football festivals.
Paul Robertson, Chairman of the club said; “These new goals are a huge boost for all our players and coaches as we continue to encourage participation in our community and we are most grateful to The Scottish Football Partnership Trust for this support.”
