The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership’s Growing the Game Award is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious pilot project aims to create 60 new Grassroots teams during the 2014/15 season.

Shirley Martin Club Development Officer for the South West Region said of the Awards made to Garnock Valley, Tass and Dalry Rovers “The successful clubs have really appreciated this funding and in particular the quick turn around has been excellent. The £500 has made the setting up of the new team’s much easier as there is not the initial worry about set up costs and I know that this has made everything much smoother.
