The Scottish Football Partnership Trust was delighted to be able to award funding to Strathaven Dynamo AFC to help support the creation of a new Clubhouse at their W3ST facility. The Football Partnership has a long standing association with the club having supported them originally over 12 years ago with portable changing facilities and then again in 2017 alongside several funders including sportscotland and cashback for communities who helped with the installation of a new dual purpose (football and Rugby) 3G pitch. The Dynamos new clubhouse complements what is already a fantastic community facility and provides a platform for the next phase of the clubs development.
Frank McGraw from the club commented “This new changing facility has been a long time coming and very much appreciated by everyone who uses the W3ST facility, especially the Dynamos. The club has relied on and benefitted from the rugby club allowing us to use their changing rooms since the 3G pitch was opened in 2017, but it is important for both clubs to have their own spaces as we move forward and support increased use of the pitch especially at weekends. This opening is an important landmark for Strathaven’s football club and it has been a terrific project to be involved with and to now see open. This would not have been possible without the grant funding received from The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and our other funding partners. We are truly grateful for their continued support”.
