Raith Rovers F.C. were recently awarded funding from the SFP to assist with a key infrastructure project at Stark’s Park. As part of ongoing upgrades to their stadium, the club recently installed a new comprehensive CCTV system around the ground. The CCTV project is just one of a number of major upgrades that have been taking place at Stark’s Park while the COVID-19 restrictions have been in place which their fans will benefit from when they return.
The club’s existing system had been showing its age for some time and was in much need of an overhaul to meet the future plans for the ground. There were a number of areas that had either poor or no camera coverage, and the quality of the existing footage had fallen far behind what is now possible. A total of 24 new cameras were installed to provide total coverage of all public spaces within and around the stadium, using a combination of full HD and 4K cameras. A combination of PTZ dome cameras and multi-image network cameras were deployed inside and outside the stadium, while cameras were deployed to cover concourses and public lounges.
The Partnership has supported Raith Rovers F.C. with many projects over the last five years including a new fire alarm and PA system, electrical upgrades of the floodlight system and an increased water supply into the stadium.
