The Scottish Football Partnership Trust continues its commitment of supporting and promoting inclusive football participation at grassroots level throughout Scotland. In 2023, our Club Development Grant Scheme aims to invest in the development and growth of Scottish FA Quality Mark Clubs, with a focus on increasing and enhancing inclusive participation opportunities for all players and the continued development of volunteers.
The scheme has once again been generously supported by The Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust and The SFP Trust. This year, The Scottish FA also chose to invest in the initiative which is delivered in partnership with their Regional Development staff.
Port Glasgow Boys Club were selected to receive funding and opted to use this investment to offer new weekly inclusive taster sessions for younger players who wanted to take part in recreational activity. These sessions will encourage players of all abilities to develop at their own rate and allow them to enjoy the benefits of the sport. Jim Boyland, Chairman of the club thanked all those donating funds to the programme and said “Grants such as these give the best possible start to young footballers as they begin their football journey, so many thanks for your continued support of our club”
