Banks O’ Dee F.C., who in 2014 became Full Members of The Scottish F.A., have been given an award by The Scottish Football Partnership towards the cost of creating an additional two changing rooms at Spain Park.
Iain Watson, Facility Operator, said “After successfully installing a new synthetic 3G pitch back in 2011, in order for the football club to progress we realised that we required additional changing areas. We now have 16 youth teams with 180 active players and 40 coaches and these new facilities mean that we can massively improve turnaround time between games, allowing us to maximise the amount of football being played. Already we have witnessed a 15% increase in pitch usage, with scope to further develop access during peak time slots.”
Brian Winton from the club commented “The Scottish Football Partnership provided a very proactive service, advising on opportunities and supporting implementation throughout the duration of the project and these new changing facilities at Spain Park have brought a real benefit to the club and players.”
