Girls National Shield Competitions
The SFP Trust continues to work in partnership with The Scottish Schools FA by supporting their National Shield Competitions for Girls at Under-15 and Under-18 with around 1,870 girls taking their first steps into representing their schools at this level. This is particularly relevant as the Scottish Women’s National Team who participated in this summer’s World Cup included no fewer than 13 girls who had previously represented the Scottish Schools’ Under-15 girl’s squad at international level – further demonstrating the importance of this pathway for young girls into football.
