RANGERS Football Club’s Ready2Succeed programme is an innovative opportunity for participants in Glasgow to become part of a fast moving, individualised training programme to re-engage them with employment and future opportunities.
The Ready2Succeed programme, which is funded by The Scottish Football Partnership, started on October 8 and will be completed on December 11.
The programme has been constructed and developed by the club and is specifically aimed at participants aged 16+ who are unemployed and facing substantial barriers to progression in terms of personal development and/or in gaining employment.
Ready2Suceed runs over 10 weeks with participants attending the Rangers Study Centre two days per week. The programme is designed on a modular basis to allow flexibility in dealing with the needs of each participant on an individual basis where appropriate.
It also aims to engage participants in the sport of football and coaching to allow them to develop confidence and skills which will encourage them to consider appropriate future opportunities to progress.
The skills utilised and developed in playing and coaching sport such as team work, communication, motivation and discipline are highly prevalent and transferrable in the working environment and in wider community involvement.
This approach, along with work trials and employability workshops linked to the identification of future opportunities, create the optimum environment for progression.
The Ready2Succeed programme will be delivered by Rangers community coaches, employability specialists and external partners including the National Health Service, Glasgow Clyde College and City Building. There will also be a presentation from Rangers legend Mark Hateley in the final week.

“Our aim is to encourage participants to take control of their future, to Increase their motivation, confidence and give them transferable skills they can take to the workplace”
