The new Inverness Caley Thistle Community Development Hub has officially opened, marking the completion of a transformative project for football in the Highlands.
The Scottish Football Partnership Trust was proud to attend the opening ceremony and to have supported the development alongside other funding partners. What was once a stretch of disused fields has now been turned into a purpose-built, multi-pitch community facility designed to serve players, clubs and local residents for years to come.
The hub features multiple playing surfaces supported by modern changing facilities, dedicated learning spaces and office accommodation. The combination of sporting and educational facilities creates an environment where participation, progression and community engagement can thrive side by side.
The new development will provide a permanent home for Inverness Athletic, Caley Thistle’s women’s team, and a number of local youth and amateur clubs. Beyond matchdays and training sessions, the facility will also support wider community initiatives.
For the Highlands region, this project provides increased access to quality facilities, supports the growth of the women’s and girls’ game, and ensures local clubs have a sustainable base from which to develop.
