Auchinleck Talbot FC have been given an Award from the SFP to assist with the cost of constructing a new spectator enclosure at Beechwood Park. Eugene Crummie, Chair of the stadium regeneration subcommittee said, “we are delighted with the new facility which is a huge step forward in our efforts to improve the set up and to bring Junior football into the new millennium”. A sub committee ( The Beechwood Regeneration Committee) was set up with a remit to improve Beechwood Park and make it a real community facility, Jim McCauley a spokesman for the BRC said ” In the past Junior Football Clubs found it hard to get financial support, we as a club have always been prepared to dig deep and raise funds, however the support of The Scottish Football Partnership has proved invaluable to us and helped us create something so much better than would have otherwise” Talbot secretary Henry Dumigan echoed that sentiment ” We as a club have always appreciated the importance of the club to the local public, we want to give them something back, our hard working committee have managed that but couldn’t have without the help of The Scottish Football Partnership”. Auchinleck Talbot FC hope to develop further projects, it is encouraging that there are initiatives within Scottish Football that help all clubs who are prepared to work hard.
