Formartine United Youth Academy girls section from the Scottish FA North region recently received funding through The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Club Development Grant scheme which is supported by the Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust.
This fantastic club, who offer 4-v-4 football through to 7-v-7 for over 73 girls, chose to use their funding to help buy much needed kit for the increasing number of girls wishing to play football in the Pitmeddan area. The girls participate in weekly training and local festivals and this grant will help the club retain existing players and increase the appeal to potential new players. Mike Paterson from Formartine United YA said “Thank you to both the SFP Trust and the Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust for awarding us this grant which means so much to the club. We are going to use the money to buy kit for the girls. We have struggled to get sponsorship money to pay for jackets etc and this will allow all girls to have the same kit during the winter months.”
