The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership’s Growing the Game Award is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious pilot project aims to create 60 new Grassroots teams during the 2014/15 season.

Charlene McClelland from the club advised that they were delighted with their award from the SFP’s Growing the Game Fund and commented that “this award has been a great boost for our team. It has helped us to purchase a new team kit and training equipment and has allowed us to play our fixtures and play and feel like a proper team.”
“The girls are also enjoying extended training sessions and thoroughly enjoying their football. This grant has given us some security for the rest of the season as we no longer have to worry about the costs of buying new kit.”
