The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

On receiving the award, James Nimbly from the club said “With the support which Dean Thistle F.C. received from the Growing the Game fund we have been able to kit out our new 2010 team with a new strip, balls and training equipment . James commented “We are most grateful to The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and the Clydesdale Bank which will allow this new team to play fun fours in the South West area”
