The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

Kelso F.C. were delighted to receive a Growing the Game award from the SFP Trust in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, which enabled the club to set-up a new girls section for over 35 players. Lynne Rock, the Club Secretary passed on the thanks of the girls for the award which has enabled them to purchase much needed equipment to assist in their training sessions and playing matches as a newly established team. Some of the young players are pictured above with their new kit and equipment.
