The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

Morton Community Trust were delighted to receive funding from the SFP Trust’s Growing the Game initiative in partnership with the Clydesdale Bank. This support has allowed the club to set up a new girls section. The players are pictured above in their new strips before last weekend’s match with Celtic F.C. Laura Williamson from the club passed on the thanks of the players for the funding which has been essential in allowing the growth of girls football.
