The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership’s Growing the Game Award is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious pilot project aims to create 60 new Grassroots teams during the 2014/15 season.

David Richardson, Chairperson of Palace Park F.C. said “The award has assisted us greatly in starting our 2003 age group. Since receiving the award we have managed to attract four volunteer coaches & over twenty 2003 children to the club. The award has helped us fund coach education courses, kit & will also contribute to the registration of two seven aside teams into the GDYFL in February.”
“This is the third award that we have received as a club from the SFP and we believe that the SFP have made a significant contribution in growing our club from eight kids & four coaches in April 2013 to a club that now has over three hundred children & adults involved.”
