The SFP recently awarded Montrose Youth Football Club/Montrose Community Trust with portable changing rooms to support activity for their extensive range of community and youth teams at their Kenny Park base. The Club and Trust who work closely together continue to positively impact the lives of hundreds of people from youngsters playing mini-kickers all the way through to their adult teams.
Peter Davidson, Chief Executive of the Trust said “Montrose Community Trust (MCT) provide football opportunities for all ages, abilities and aspirations from the age of 2 to 72. Montrose Youth F.C., who are members of MCT, cater for children aged 5 to 18 who possess a desire to play competitively, as part of a team. In total, approximately 300 players, both male and female, participate within the club, across 18 teams, of different ages and up until now, we have been frustrated at our inability to provide members, their families, volunteers and visiting teams with toilet and changing facilities. With the support of The Scottish Football Partnership and the donation of changing rooms with toilets, plus a storage container, we can continue to expand our organisation, providing opportunities for all, safe in the knowledge that we now have adequate and attractive facilities for such.”
