Hermes Bridge of Don YFC from the north area of Aberdeen were recently awarded funding to assist with the purchase of new goalposts from the SFP Trust’s James Anderson Grassroots Football Facilities Fund.
This grassroots club provides opportunities for almost 280 local children to engage in training and match play. This new equipment, awarded from the small infrastructure strand of the James Anderson funding, will no doubt be a great asset to the club and the 64 volunteer coaches who freely give their time to coach these youngsters.
Laura Hayward from the club said “This is a picture of some of our 2013’s and 2014’s teams who had a friendly 7-aside game against each other last weekend. The goals are greatly appreciated by all, especially the coaches who now have a significantly reduced set up time for matches with these new goals! Our sincere thanks to the SFP Trust for this investment.”
