The Scottish Football Partnership recently awarded funding to Spartans F.C. to assist part-fund a new Ground Entry System. The club, based in the north of Edinburgh, currently play in the Lowland League and the project to install six new turnstiles at Ainslie Park will greatly assist spectators in safely gaining access to the park and will enhance the impressive facilities already on offer at Ainslie Park. Edinburgh City F.C. who participate in the SPFL Second Division have a groundsharing arrangement with Spartans F.C., with Ainslie Park meeting all the necessary criteria for SPFL matches to be played there.
Craig Graham, Chairman of Spartans F.C. commented “The fantastic support we received from The Scottish Football Partnership helped ensure we could build our new turnstiles at Ainslie Park. They have enabled us to host more Scotland International Youth football fixtures as well as being able to offer Edinburgh City F.C. the chance to groundshare with us in SPFL 2. The brick built construction will ensure they are in place for decades to come.”
