Real Fife F.C. from the East region were recently awarded £500 funding from The SFP Trust’s new Club Development Grant scheme. The initiative was introduced to assist grassroots clubs in three specific areas – to increase participation by adding a new team to a club’s existing membership; to improve, enhance and sustain existing team activity through the purchase of new training equipment and/or to fund First Aid training for coaches and thirdly to support Coach Education.
Real Fife F.C., who currently have a membership of almost 180 young players and 34 registered coaches, utilised their grant to purchase training equipment for their new 2014 team, including new portable goals, training balls and equipment. Some of the youngsters joining the team are pictured here with two of their coaches. Wayne Carroll from the club commented that “this grant will make a huge difference for the young kids starting off on their footballing life. Everyone at Real Fife F.C. is most grateful to The SFP Trust, in partnership with The Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust and the Clydesdale Bank, for this funding.”
