Dumbarton United 2010’s age group was delighted to receive their “Growing the Game” award from The SFP Trust and The Clydesdale Bank in January, 2016. With their newly formed grassroots squad just coming together and getting ready for their first ever new football season starting this coming Easter, the timing of the award was perfect. Alison McGroggan (2010 team secretary) and Alan Harrison (Club Development Officer) are pictured above with the 19 boys and 1 girl proudly wearing their new training kit. Alan Harrison commented “This award has helped the new team make payment towards a full first aid kit and team registrations with the local DFDL (league body) and the SYFA for insurance, as well as partly paying towards the new training kit. This is a hugely welcomed boost and gives our 2010 team the perfect start in their new wee football careers – thank you!”
