The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

Loanhead Miners Youth F.C. were extremely pleased to receive an award from The SFP Trust’s Growing the Game initiative. The funding was used to purchase kit and training equipment for the new team and as you can see from the above photograph, the girls all look fantastic in their new strips. Peter Frame from the club commented “We are most grateful to both the SFP Trust and the Clydesdale Bank for this funding, without which it would have been almost impossible for us to set-up this new girls section.”
