SFP Trust support for the Scottish Schools’ FA National Cup Competitions

The SFP Trust is delighted once again to be working in partnership with The Scottish Schools’ F.A. in the delivery of their 2016/17 National Cup Competitions.   The Schools F.A. continues to play a pivotal role in the development of the game in Scotland by providing opportunities for young people – boys and girls – to participate in football.  For the youngsters involved, the opportunity to represent their school is a real honour and we would like to wish them, and everyone involved, every success in the Finals of these Competitions.

A word from the Scottish Schools’ F.A. President, Joe Harkins …..

“As President of the Scottish Schools’ Football Association it gives me great pleasure to acknowledge the continued support of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and its Chief Operating Officer, Stuart McCaffrey for the 2016-17 season.

Both organisations have the common aims of giving as many young people as possible the opportunity to play and enjoy football in a safe and well-structured environment. In schools’ football we can only do this through the commitment and hard work of our volunteer teachers.  The SFPT’s involvement this session is with our 16s Boys, 15s Girls, 18s Girls National Shields and our 18s National Inter-Association Cup and this will benefit approximately 4,000 young people being able to play in such an environment.

In particular I am delighted that SFPT are supporting our girls’ tournaments as this allows the SSFA to continue to build on the work we have been doing for some 15 years now in promoting and developing girls’ football across the country.

Again I thank Stuart and the SFPT for their continued support and look forward to an enjoyable and successful season for us both”
