The Scottish Football Partnership Trust is delighted to announce that we have received a substantial donation from James and Morag Anderson. This incredibly generous gesture will be transformative for the work we do here at the Trust and will enable us to continue supporting community football clubs across the country.
The challenges facing grassroots football clubs are complex and multi-faceted. They include poor-quality playing surfaces, inefficient floodlighting and a lack of adequate equipment. Furthermore, outdated changing facilities are ill-suited to meet the changing demographics in football today and do not provide inclusive, welcoming environments for women and girls.
With this donation, to be delivered over four years, The Scottish Football Partnership Trust will be able to continue supporting grassroots clubs in overcoming these challenges. The funds will be used for everything from the installation of new pitches, pavilions and changing facilities to the procurement of new equipment and security system upgrades.
The Scottish Football Partnership CEO Sandy Hodge said:
“This donation from James and Morag Anderson has come at a critical time. As the popularity of football, particularly among women and girls, continues to rise across the country, our community clubs need all the support they can get to continue providing opportunities for players of all backgrounds.
“We’d like to extend our utmost thanks to James and Morag for their incredible generosity. Their donation leaves us in a fantastic position to continue delivering for grassroots Scottish football.”
We couldn’t do what we do at The Scottish Football Partnership Trust without the support of businesses and individuals from across Scotland. If you’d like to get involved and help us secure the future of Scottish football, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
