Strathspey Thistle F.C have been given an Award from The Scottish Football Partnership to assist with the cost of bringing Seafield Park up to the required standard for the club to achieve Entry Level Licensing. Club Secretary Robbie McLeod said, “The recent Scottish Football Partnership General Award of £12,900 greatly assisted our club to purchase a new Purpose made Portacabin which houses a catering kitchen, first aid room, ladies, gents and disabled toilet facilities. This replaces the temporary buildings that were in use and has now allowed our club to finally apply to the Scottish FA for a club license. Our park over the last four years has been developed to a point where we now have solid perimeter fencing, 150 capacity seated stand, flood lighting to 200 lux standard, catering, first aid, ladies, gents and disabled toilet facilities. On behalf of everyone at the club i would like to thank The Scottish Football Partnership for the financial assistance which has allowed us to apply for membership of the Scottish FA far earlier than we had anticipated”.
